How It All Started

Every great business has a story — ours just happens to start by accident. While working for a company during college, Christin was unexpectedly asked to help out with their accounting. What started as a side task quickly turned into a passion, and before long, she was diving into accounting classes and discovering just how much she loved bringing clarity to the numbers that keep businesses running.

In July 2011, Christin’s Bookkeeping was born. Over the years, the business grew right alongside our clients, expanding from basic bookkeeping into a full-service firm offering accounting, payroll, and tax solutions. Today, under our new name — Christin’s Accounting & Advisory — we’re proud to provide more ways to support small businesses, startups, and individual taxpayers.

Meet Christin

Hi, I’m Christin — the owner and Managing Member of Christin’s Accounting & Advisory. Believe it or not, my career in accounting started completely by accident while I was in college. I was helping out the company I worked for with their books, and it didn’t take long for me to realize I actually enjoyed digging into the numbers. That unexpected detour turned into a degree in Finance and Accounting, years of experience in the corporate world (including a role as CFO), and eventually the launch of Christin’s Bookkeeping in 2011. Today, that little side gig has grown into Christin’s Accounting & Advisory, where I get to help small businesses, startups, and individual taxpayers every single day.

I’m an IRS Enrolled Agent, a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor, a Certified Professional Bookkeeper, and a partner with leading platforms like Xero, Gusto, and Fathom. But while the certifications look great on paper, what really matters to me is people. I love sitting down with clients, answering their “10,000 questions,” and making sure they actually understand their finances and taxes — without all the jargon or judgment.

When I’m not crunching numbers, you’ll probably find me spending time with my son, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and planning our next road trip. I’m also known for working on cross-stich projects as stress relief!

At the end of the day, I’m here because I genuinely love helping people. My goal is simple: to make accounting less stressful and a whole lot more approachable, so you can focus on building the business (and life) you love.

Meet Hannah

Hey there! I’m Hannah — wife to Joseph for 13 years and mom to three awesome kids: Paizley, Shepherd, and Leeland. We’ve lived in Northwest Arkansas for almost six years and absolutely love it. As a family, we’re all about biking, board games, church on Sundays, and just hanging out together.

I’ve been a small business owner for over a decade — everything from running a retail shop and t-shirt biz to flipping furniture and owning a laser studio. Through all those ventures, I discovered what really lights me up: helping fellow business owners grow, stay organized, and feel confident in their day-to-day operations.

Since mid-April 2025, I’ve had the joy of working with Christin and supporting the mission behind Christin’s Accounting & Advisory. I love helping small business owners keep their numbers in line and building the kind of trusted partnerships that make running a business just a little bit easier (and a lot less stressful!).

Meet Kari

Hi, I’m Kari – Your Go-To Payroll Specialist!

With years of experience in management and employee relations, I’m passionate about making payroll smooth, accurate, and stress-free. I pride myself on attention to detail, clear communication, and providing reliable, prompt service tailored to your company’s unique needs.

Outside of work, I’m enjoying family time with my husband of 26 years and our son. Including fishing, cook-outs, having a Silver dollar City day, sneaking in some shopping (or a good movie), and fully embracing the fun (and chaos!) of being a boy-mom!

I’ve been with Christin since early 2022, and not only is she an awesome boss, she truly cares about her clients—and I do too.

Supporting her vision and serving our clients with excellence is what drives me every day. You can confidently entrust me to handle your payroll needs with accuracy and care.

Meet Melisa

Hi, I’m Melisa - and I’ve spent over 30 years working in accounting and bookkeeping. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of companies, including a local radio and media broadcasting company—each experience adding to my understanding of the unique financial needs businesses face.

I know how overwhelming accounting and bookkeeping can be for clients. I’ve seen firsthand how financial stress can steal valuable time—time that could be spent growing a business, increasing productivity, or simply enjoying life with family, friends, or hobbies. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to take that weight off their shoulders.

While I prefer to let the numbers do the talking, I take great pride in helping clients feel confident and at peace knowing their finances are in order. I believe that solid financial support isn't just about the books—it's about giving people back their time and peace of mind.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband and children. One of our favorite things to do together is go camping—we enjoy getting away from the noise and reconnecting with each other and the outdoors.
